Your Guide to Securing a CFA ESG Student Discount and Early Registration Bonuses

Currently the CFA Institute does offer a scholarship program for the CFA program but not yet for the Certificate in ESG investing.

The CFA program scholarship is available to students globally who are enrolled at an affiliated university and have not yet registered for their next exam.

Award amount

CFA® Program enrollment fee is waived and exam registration is reduced to USD600.
Application window

The Student Scholarship Program accepts applications from 1 September through 31 July.
Eligibility requirements

For students currently attending an affiliated university and have not yet registered for their next exam.

Applicants are not required to be enrolled in an affiliated degree program to be eligible to apply.

Funding for Hong Kong SAR residents

Eligible Hong Kong SAR residents can apply for a government subsidy of up to 80% of the course fee, or 100% if studying full-time. After positive exam results and the completing the Certificate in ESG Investing, candidates can apply to receive the government subsidy.  Learn more about the funding scheme and find out if you’re eligible.

Affordable CFA ESG Student Discount Options for Your Certification Prep

While there is currenlty no scholarship program for the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing you still optimize your exam costs by using the early registration to benefit from lower exam fees.

In addition, typically the CFA Institute raises it's prices on an annual basis, therefore registering before December 31st will save you an additional $25.

As beginning 1 January 2025 the registration fee will increase to USD 890. This coincides with the release of the 2025 Certificate in ESG Investing that will include an updated curriculum with new case studies.
